Image of Dorton College Student Centre in AutumnThe RLSB's Dorton College of Further Education is much more than a college of Further Education. We provide a complete educational experience for students who are blind or partially sighted including programmes for students aged over 18.

The extensive provision available at Dorton College will offer the closest possible match to your needs as we place great emphasis on a careful initial assessment with ongoing advice and guidance.

We also have an exciting Horticultural and Ecological curriculum, enabling you to develop vocational skills in land-based studies, food preparation, catering and retail.

Mainstream Partnership Colleges

As we are linked to three major linked partnership colleges - West Kent College, Bromley College and Hadlow College - you won't find yourself rooted to campus but will be able to work in a variety of learning environments. This innovative approach enables you to choose from a huge range of courses, use the latest specialist technology and benefit from an experienced and highly qualified team of tutors.

Independence

As well as the academic benefits, Dorton College offers everything you need to progress in independence. We encourage students to take part in an environment which is geared towards developing self-sufficiency. A full and varied programme of leisure activities is also offered as the campus has an indoor swimming pool, Challenge Course, football pitch and running track. We also have our own Radio Station, Dorton Radio.

Your future

Support, guidance and a lively atmosphere are part of attending Dorton College and will help you to reach your personal goals. Our qualified Careers Advisors and experienced job club tutors will also assist you in making decisions about your future.
