Cheryl Baker

In March 2006, star of stage and screen Cheryl Baker formally accepted her new role as a vice president of RLSB.

She made her acceptance speech to a packed hall of staff and blind or partially sighted pupils at the RLSB’s Dorton House School in Sevenoaks, Kent, where the charity is based. Upon receiving her commemorative glass trophy, Cheryl expressed her pride at being asked to become vice president and pledged to assist the Society in raising funds and increasing awareness of the discrimination that blind and partially sighted people experience in society.
