Anita Dobson

Anita Dobson is a much loved and well respected actress on both TV and stage. She has been a long term supporter of the RLSB and a vice president since January 2006. She explains why she accepted the role:

“Along the road to becoming an established actress, another status was given to me, that of ‘celebrity’, and I was asked by various charities to help bring awareness to their causes. Over time, I realised I could be of greater use if I focused on two or three causes and didn’t spread myself so thinly.

“In supporting the RLSB, I have found what I was looking for. I see the wonderful effect this charity has upon the blind and partially sighted people we work with, and am so proud to be a part of it. It is an honour to be vice president and to champion such a fantastic cause.”
