Summer School

Summer School pupils using tandem bicycles on a sports pitchEvery year in July/August the RLSB organise a Summer School for blind and partially sighted children aged 11 to 16.

Offering them a rich variety of experiences and challenges to help them grow in confidence and social skills, the children also learn the importance of teamwork and helping each other.

It is noticeable how the children's confidence and independence skills improve as a result of these experiences. The Summer School is also an opportunity for the children to form new friendships which are very important in the development of social skills.

The stimulating programme of activities includes:School pupil learning archery with a red bow
