An Employment Support Adviser will work closely with you to support you on your journey. You can expect to receive a package of support individually tailored to your circumstances.

Meeting with your Employment Support Adviser for the first time

When you first meet your Adviser they will complete a comprehensive initial assessment to understand your Employment, Technical and Transitional needs and help them build a package of support tailored to meet your individual needs through development of action planning. Although the Society has accessible offices located in Victoria, this first meeting can be made at a location convenient to you.

Assessing your skills

Employment services also offers a full assessment of your skills including basic literacy, numeracy and IT assessments to help identify any opportunities for further training. This includes the use of accessible software JAWS, Zoomtext etc and support from qualified IT technicians.

One to One Support

Our Employment Support Advisers work closely with you on a one to one basis to help you prepare for your next job. We offer a number of individual Vocational Workgroups aimed at building confidence in a number of key areas. This may include help with the following:

Completing an application form with supportive statement

Updating or creating your CV

Presentation and Telephone Skills

Interview skills sessions to build your confidence

Providing you put in the commitment, you can receive as much or as little support as you need to help you to reach your goals.
