Keeping your job
Are you blind/partially sighted or concerned that your eyesight may be deteriorating? Do you feel that this may have an impact on your ability to work effectively in your current role?
The Royal London Society for the Blind (RLSB) works with both employees and employers to provide support to visually impaired people in employment so as to help them successfully over come the difficulties they may be facing.
It is estimated that up to two million people in the UK suffer from severe sight loss yet only 4% of people who are registered blind can see nothing at all.
Access technology has developed to such an extent that very often minor adaptations to the way you work or the equipment you use can resolve the challenges you face.
What ever your job role minor adaptations to the way you work , the environment you work in or the support you need can very often make a difference.
RLSB can support you with:

· Advise and guidance
· Loan of access technology
· Liaison with your employer
