Min Ainsworth is one of RLSB’s latest stars. After joining us for some work experience a couple of years ago, she is now a fully fledged Support Assistant, helping other blind young people to fulfil their ambitions. Min also volunteers for our Social & Peer groups, supporting RLSB staff and other blind and partially sighted people on activity days across London.
She plays blind tennis, cricket, goes sailing and in between seeing her friends in her spare time, Min will be volunteering at the London 2012 Olympics during the summer. On top of all this she tells us that her ambition for this year is to get onto the women’s national blind cricket team. We have no doubt she’ll achieve that wish.
We caught up with Min recently and she spoke to us about life as a blind young person. We think she’s a brilliant example of living life without limits, and after learning a bit more about Min, we’re sure you will too.
