Dorton College student, Elizabeth, tells us how she’s making a life for herself
“Life at Dorton College is varied and exciting. I’m in my second year at Dorton and I’ve progressed through to being a mainstream student, which means I can go to other colleges.
“Recently I did a really enjoyable cookery class at Bromley College. I ate mussels for the first time ever. We went to Morrisons to buy ingredients. Back at college we steamed the mussels in white wine and cooked chips. It was a great day. That same day in my Horticulture lesson I discovered that the seeds I had planted had all grown. I also found out I was going to see a play called Ma Kelly’s Doorstep. I love all the trips with Dorton College.
“I’m so busy and this is giving me confidence to go out and make a life for myself that I’m proud of. I feel that I can do anything now. Thanks Dorton!”
Things that I love
I love cooking. Cooking is fun and made possible for me at Dorton College.
